Fredrik Sjöberg

Västervik, 1958 Fredrik Sjöberg studied biology and geology before becoming a translator and author. He writes for different periodicals, such as for the Stockholm daily Svenska Dagbladet as literary critic, contributed to several anthologies and translated from Norwegian, English and French.  Author of several books on insects, man and literature, such as På maktens tröskel (On The Threshold Of Power, 1988); or Tranströmerska insektsamlingen från Runmarö (Tomas Tranströmer’s Insect Collecion From The Island Of Runmarö, 2001, with Nobel-prize winner Tomas Tranströmer and illustrations by Peter Frie). Flugfällan (The Fly Trap, 2004; announced by Penguin for May 2015), his first book to be published on the Iberian Peninsula, was nominated for the prestigious August Prize in Sweden.
