Martin B. Fischer

Dr. Martin B. Fischer, studied Roman and Spanish Philology and Art History at Berlin Free University; he is an agreed translator. He wrote his PhD at Potsdam University on Spanish and Catalan translations of he work of Christine Nöstlinger‘s work (2003).

Contributed, as an author, a lector and an editor, to different manuals for Spanish and for German as a foreign language. Since 1995, he teaches at the Faculty for Translation and Interpretation of Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona; since 2007, he also teaches German as a foreign language at Girona University.

He translates from and into Spanish and Catalan, occasionally also from French and Dutch. Among his translations are works on Spanish contemporary history; on Art and Literature; popular science publications; manuals for language teachers; and books for children and teenagers.
